Now that our schedules are getting a little more on track, J and I hope to see a bit more of LA. This weekend, we were able to visit the Getty Villa in Malibu. Set atop a hill, overlooking the Pacific, this place is gorgeous! The Getty Villa collection has 44,000 Greek, Roman, and Etruscan antiquities dating from 6,500 BC to 400 AD. The Villa is a recreation of an ancient Roman country house, complete with gorgeous gardens, architecture and an herb garden.
Such a gorgeous place!
‘Floor Mosaic with a Lion Attacking an Onager’. It was really cool to see this piece up close, as it was one we did an analysis on in my Visual Arts class.
How gorgeous is all of the jewelry?!
The colors of this pond were so beautiful.
