In a few days, this won’t be my view anymore. The house hunt in Montana isn’t going great and to be honest, I’m just exhausted + frustrated + my heart hurts. While this life is full of adventure, it’s also really hard for me. I don’t like the goodbyes + the uncertainties. I’m an anxious person. I’m an introvert. I like to have a plan. None of these things go particularly well with the life that we lead + the general uncertainties and lack of roots that we have. While it affords us travel, we lose out on time with friends + family, we have to say goodbye more than I would like, + sometimes it’s just freaking hard + I don’t want to do it anymore. I want to stay in one place. I want to have a support system in the same place I am in. I don’t want to start over again, when it feels like I just got settled in the place I am leaving. I don’t have a silver lining right now, I just wanted to be real about the fact that our life isn’t always all roses, no one’s is. While I love posting pretty pictures + fun captions because I am creative by nature + have always loved photography, that’s not all of who I am. Be kind always, you don’t know what someone’s behind the scene looks like or what struggles they face. But kindness + understanding goes so far. We could all be a little kinder + use a little more kindness. ❤️
Tomorrow I get to celebrate the fact that this little girl made me a mama. The last 3 years haven’t always been easy, but my life is so full of laughter, love, + joy because of her. I love you, Addison Blair, you are my sunshine. ❤️
I have been eyeing this @jamesavery anklet since last summer + I finally decided to purchase it last week. I chose a new fleur de lis charm, as well. The fleur de lis has such significance for me: it is the symbol of Jason + I’s favorite city in Europe - Florence, Italy. It is the symbol of the organization in which Jason + I met each other, + is a recognizable symbol of another city we love - New Orleans.
